Dragon Cress Gogi Smoothie

Welcome to the land of gogi berries! Ha! Ha! I love adding Gogi Berries to my smoothies and sometimes I add quite a bit. This recipe consists of some really amazing, organic

ingredients:

  • Gogi Berries
  • Dragonfruit
  • Watercress
  • Fuji Apples
  • Raw Hemp Seeds
  • Chia Seeds
  • Chiquita Bananas
  • Coconut Milk

I add Hemp Seed to almost every single smoothie I make in the morning.  It’s earthy taste combined with the fresh taste of watercress CANNOT be compared.

Now this isn’t an everyday smoothie, BUT, once you try it you may want to make it so.  Below are some pictures:

Dragon Cress Gogi Smoothie

  • Yield: Served 1

  • Cook Time: 5 Mins

Ingredients

  • 1 Packet of Frozen Pitaya/Dragonfruit (if buying from Whole Foods like me)
  • 1 handful of Gogi Berries
  • 1 bunch of watercress (you can buy this at Whole Foods too!)
  • 1 chopped Fuji Apple
  • 1 palm full of Hemp Seeds
  • 1 palm full of Chia Seeds
  • 2 peeled chiquita/baby bananas
  • 1 cup Coconut Milk

Instructions

  1. If using the frozen packs of Pitaya, run the packet under hot water for about 15 seconds, cut open with scissors and transfer contents to blender container.

  2. Chop your Fuji Apple into cubes so that they blend smoothly and add to the container with the Pitaya.

  3. Peel your baby bananas and place into container.

  4. Add the gogi berries, watercress, hemp seed, chia seed, and coconut milk.

  5. Blend once for about 30 seconds. Blend a second time for up to a minute or until the smoothie is a smooth, pink texture. Refer to image above for an example.
